Barrett Jackson Car Show

My friend, Jake, invited me to attend the Barrett Jackson show. His sister works with the media for the show in some capacity so she got both he and I all-access passes. I'm not in to cars at all, but as soon as I got there, I was amazed with the engines and bodies and speed and I definitely have to have one now! I have always been in to old school muscle cars and that's what this show is about. It's an auction to buy and sell newly restored, classic cars. It was amazing and because we had all-access passes, we were able to get into anywhere and do anything we wanted.

A couple highlights of the day:
  • Met the boys from Pimp My Ride who are going to hook me up if I ever want my car pimped out.
  • Met a bunch of professional race car drivers and got to ride in a brand new Corvette and Mustang and go on what they call a "Hot Lap". This is where the drivers take normal citizens and go around the track like they would if they were in a race. It was a rush!!
  • The media room had free food, drinks and giveaways...enough said.
  • Fell in love with a 1970 Dodge Challenger (like the one in Dukes of Hazzard).
  • Drove to the auction in a '69 Chevy Camaro.
I had such a great time and met some really great people. I am now on the look out for a beat up, run down Dodge Challenger, so if anyone knows of anything, hit me up!

So amazing! It was such an adrenaline rush!

Tim Tebow visits AZ

One of the ASU football players, Ryan Skorupka, was performing at Toby Keith's on Friday night so I went to go check it out. My sister was doing a story on him for the AZ State Press so we got to go back to his dressing room and hang out with him before the show. He was so nice to her and they had a great interview. I'm actually going to see how to post it up here. Well after he performed we were trying to tell him good job and get out of there, but he was in this roped off VIP area that we weren't allowed in. So his brother and this other guy came up to us and said, "We need to get you wrist bands. Tim is going to want to meet you both." I had overheard that Tim Tebow was in town and was training with the ASU offensive coordinator for a week. A guy nonchalantly handed us some wrist bands and we went in to talk to Ryan and tell him good job. Ryan introduced us to this God-like specimen with the most mesmerizing eyes and a smile that would make any girl go faint. It was Tim and he was beautiful. I ended up meeting him, his brother and their whole crew. My sister and I took pictures and hung out with them the whole night! We actually ended up taking them home because everyone was too drunk to drive except for Tim, who chooses not to drink.

After taking them to the next bar (Primebar) in Scottsdale, they invited us to a BBQ on Sunday to watch to the ProBowl and hang out. My sister actually ended up bailing but I had to go. So I grabbed one of my friends and we hung out with the beautiful Tim and his gorgeous brother and about 25 other football guys that night. It was magical. I met an ex-NFL player who was also gorgeous and we talked the entire night. He's such a cool guy! I know Tim can get any girl he wants and would never go for a girl like me, but I can't stop thinking about him. haha I was like a little school-girl when I saw him. I'm pretending he misses me as much as I miss him. I love meeting new people and making new friends!
